About the Artist
Ejler Madsen
Ejler Madsen was born in Copenhagen in 1939 and died in Odense, Denmark in 2011. He trained under the sculptor Henry Luckow-Nielsen and taught at the Funen Art Academy from 1978 to 1996.
Ejler Madsen was a member of the Artists' Society and the artists association known at Den Gyldne (the Golden) as well as the Funen Spring Exhibition.
He participated in numerous domestic exhibitions from1973 to 2009, and was the recipient of many awards and grants, including working grants from the Danish State Art Foundation and the Funen Amts Art Prize.
